Story
The Pennine Challenge is a completely crazy event that requires you to hike 60 miles in a 24 hour period. Not across 2 days, literally a straight 24 hours. It's always a challenge! Imagine walking and running across the Pennines at 2am in the morning when it's cold, wet and you can't exactly see where you're putting your feet let alone what you're putting them in. Mind you that's probably a good thing.
It's a pretty strenous event when you consider that we hail from Lincolnshire which has to be the flatest part of England. The nearest hill we've got is Gedney Hill (and the only hill's in the name). So we're really going to have to train and train and train some more...So far it's going well, but with our first training walks up there looming, we're soon going to know how things are shaping up.
This year we're hoping to make a real difference to Cancer Research UK.
There's 6 of us this year, doing the relay event. We've split the course into six sections and the 6 of us into 2 teams. So there'll be at least 3 of us singing and running and scrambling across the hills at any moment. It's going to be fun, but we need your help.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now! To coin a phrase "every little really does help!" Literally 10p or £10, we're grateful for everything.
Cheers guys
