CRO Challenge 2014 · 10 May 2014 ·

A voluntary search and rescue team made up of local cavers, climbers and walkers. Providing a highly skilled service in the Three Peaks and Malhamdale areas of the Yorkshire Dales. The team, estabished in 1935, is entirely reliant on public donations and is on call 24x7; your support is appreciated.

Story

I'm running the CRO challenge off road marathon in May 2014. The full route isn't announced yet, but basically it's "Run up Ingleborough, down to Selside, Horton, back up Sulber Nick and then back down to Clapham". Those who know the area will appreciate what this means. It's going to hurt.

The photo (Courtesy of Woodentops) is from the Yorkshireman 2012. I don't expect to look this cheerful at the top of Ingleborough.

CRO is the combined Cave and Fell Rescue service for the 3 Peaks area, just about the busiest walking & caving area in the Dales.
