Dearest potential sponsor,
So this is the year that we have decided to tick off 'running a marathon'. Lets face it, we're probably not going to get any fitter so we may as well have a bash at it now. Charlotte is doing it for the sense of personal achievement. Helen is doing it for the shiny medal.
To make it all worthwhile we are raising money for the Surrey Air Ambulance. It's a brilliant charity that saves lives by transporting medical teams to the scene of an emergency and flying the patient to hospital within minutes. The service receives no money from the government or national lottery; it relies entirely on charitable donations to cover costs of £1.7 million per year.
Helen has worked with the Air Ambulance service in Sydney and seen first hand what an incredible difference a service like this can make to patient care and survival. As we both come from Surrey, we would like to raise as much money as possible for the Surrey Air Ambulance.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please give whatever you can and feel free to come along and support us on the day. (Anyone with skills in massage or access to vast quantities of jelly beans will be particularly welcome)
Love Helen and Charlotte xxx
