Sponsor me for a measly 5k run (but you - and I - have to start somewhere!)
Some of you might remember that I was hobbling around on crutches two years ago- so needed to take it easy with the old knee. Plus: I haven't exactly been very fit in recent years. But this has been fun - and I hope the run itself in Hyde Park on 27th May will be a good day, too.
So if you can spare a few quid, any support for Cancer Research UK will be much appreciated. We all take for granted that cancer treatments are getting better all the time - well, it all starts with some good research somewhere.
Cancer Research UK ask you whether you want to do your run 'for someone'. I have thought long about this, and I have concluded I would like to raise some money in memory of Ann Mepham, the mother in law I never met, who died of cancer when she was just 34, leaving behind three young children, one of them my lovely David who was then only four years old.
Gift Aid it!
If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.
