Our Way of the Roses Bike Ride

Way of the Roses Bike Ride · 26 September 2015
Many thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On the 26th, 27th and 28th of September, myself, Paul Tilley, Andy Wright, Shaun Drury, Rich Callaghan, Andy James and James Gilder are taking on a little challenge. We're aiming to cycle coast-to-coast the Way of the Roses, from Morecambe on the west coast of England to Bridlington on the east, a distance of approximately 170 miles through some pretty hilly (that is an understatement!) terrain in 3 days.
Whilst we're all very much looking forward to the challenge and have been training incredibly hard in preparation (ahem ...), we felt that it would be great if we could also raise a bit of money for a good cause in the process.
We would therefore be massively grateful for any small amount of cash that you can spare to go direct to Chesterfield Royal Hospital in support of their services relating specifically to caring for children. Their Paediatric Fund supports the Child Development Centre, The Den, which is home to all Children Outpatient services and has a warm, child-friendly atmosphere that makes coming to hospital a less daunting experience for patients. Their SCBU Fund supports their Neonatal Unit, which is a level 2 unit providing care to premature or sick newborn babies.
We all appreciate how frightening and upsetting it is to see any child in pain or discomfort. A number of us have also had personal experience of the outstanding level of care that they provide at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, and are therefore keen to support their work and the services that they provide in any small way that we can.
Many thanks indeed!!
Paul, Paul, Andy, Shaun, Rich, Andy & James.
