The British Red Cross, a charity incorporated by Royal Charter 1908, helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.

Story

On the 27th of February 2010, a severe 8.8 earthquake followed by a tsunami struck central Chile. This event has been a real catastrophe to the country. Over 80% of Chile’s population is concentrated in the affected area. Many people lost their homes and loved ones. Houses, hospitals, schools and roads suffered severe structural damages. Since then, there have been over thirty aftershocks, some of which have meassured 7 in the Richter scale.

Violeta was born and grew up in Chile, where most of her family and many of her friends live. With the invaluable help of ten other people at Deloitte's Liverpool office, she is raising money for the reconstruction of Chile. The team will walk 15 miles in the Wirral Costal Walk and all funds will go to the British Red Cross' Chile Earthquake Appeal.

Please help Caroline, Ste, Jennifer, Sam, Paul, Tim, Violeta, Alex, Charlie, Mark and Leon raise £2000 to help Chile!
