Story

Some may or not know 2023 is a big celebration for me. With this big year I wanted a challenge and an opportunity to raise  monies for a charity close to my heart.  When looking around for this challenge, I found  the , Lake District Ultra Challenge ticked all the  boxes , particular  satisfying my wish to   run an Ultra(50km).    My  beautiful wife, Ang summed this up amazingly "a km for every year of your life! ". More  ironically the finishing line, being Kendal my birth place !   What great  place to celebrate my 50th year !

In terms of  a charity this was  an    easy answer., The British Dyslexia Association.   Why,? You may or not know I have dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia.     During my life  I have  received wonderful  support from people and  other sources   which I am so grateful for  and never forget.   This has  enabled me to be successful in all aspects of my life . With a   self belief and  confidence  in myself, desire to   help others and challenge the  stigmas  of others perception of my needs.

But  more importantly my life journey    has lead me to realise  that  barriers and challenges in life  can be overcome with   kindness, love , support ,  focus and  determination.

So thank you for donating to this  amazing charity! And think you are literally making difference to a  future  life!
