Story
Hi, i would like to thank the rest of the team for commiting to the challenge of this ride. Raising money for christies started for me last july when my mother was taken into christie hospital diagnosed with lynphoma cancer, we then rode the manchester to blackpool annual bike ride and raised over twelve hundred pounds for the christie, then in august 2008 my mother passed away so i then became registered with christies as a fund raiser.
I then talked to the lads about what we could do for a challenge to raise money for christies this year and we came up with the idea of trying to cycle the full length of the leeds liverpool canal in one day,a few of the lads said it would be to big of a challenge being 127 miles but in the end we decided to give it a go, so on friday the 24 july we will be leaving leeds at approx 3 am and heading on the bumpy tow path towards liverpool, hopefully arriving in liverpool that evening.
This will be our bigest challenge do date, so please make a donation through just giving as the money raised goes straight to christies, and let us do all the hard work.
We are already thinking of the challenge for next year, any sugestions would be appreciated.
Thank you from Kevin Flegg.
