We provide services and opportunities to promote good mental health and wellbeing
Story
I'm running the Edinburgh Half Marathon on Sunday 29th May in honour of my Uncle Billy who passed away recently.
I'm running for anyone who has been affected by mental health issues and to raise money for Glasgow Association for Mental Health.
Glasgow Association for Mental Health does amazing work providing over 2000 hours of community support every week to people experiencing mental health problems in Glasgow, a city my uncle lived in and loved so much.
Supporting the provision of high-quality mental health services for people in crisis is a cause that is very close to my heart. These services are a vital lifeline, and it's an issue that touches most people's lives at some point.
If you can, please spare a couple of quid and sponsor me as I take on the Edinburgh Half Marathon for this cause, and have fun watching my trials and tribulations as I prepare for the biggest challenge I think I've ever undertaken (eep!)
For anyone I know currently affected in any way, please know that you matter, there are people and services there for you, and you can reach out if you feel able. Please try to be kind to yourself.
Glasgow Association for Mental Health (GAMH) is an independent charity registered in Scotland. We provide a range of innovative and person centred support services to people with mental health problems and their carers, including Young Carers. Our work produces positive life enhancing outcomes.
