Hi All

I am Running the London Marathon for Make A Wish a Fantastic Charity who helps give seriously ill children life changing wishes having come from a family that has had a wish granted by this fantastic charity i thought it was time i gave something back.

My personal experience happened many years ago when my Sister was diagnosed with Leukaemia ALL to be exact she was admitted to Barts hospital where she underwent intense Chemotherapy for a number of months to which she was in hospital for many of these months ahead during her battle.

During her battle with Cancer a Make a Wish representative visited my sister as well as a number of other children in Barts hospital to which she was asked what would her wish be if she could have one granted.

What we didn't know was a close Family friend had contacted Make a Wish in advance and told them of my Sisters wish which was to swim with dolphins, then one day her wish was granted and we were told that Air Canada were funding our families wish.

We were flown to Canada where we were taken to the CN Tower and then also visited Niagara falls from here we were then taken to Florida where we had a magical 7 days staying in Kids village a village designed for children with life threatening deceases, while on our stay in Florida we were taken to universal studios and magical kingdom to which we will never forget this was all possible due to the fantastic work of make a wish and Air Canada and we will be forever in the dept hence why i am now trying to raise money to give something back for the magical holiday we were granted.

luckily my story has a happy ending my Sister survived her Leukaemia but other kids her age and younger didn't so please help me donate as much as possible to give another child with a life threatening illness the wish of a lifetime.

Also to add I will be dedicating my Marathon to my Dad as it would have been his 64th Birthday on the 29th April I know he will be there in spirit each mile :-)))
