Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Saturday, 12th May 2012 my mate (Robert Holmes) and I entered the Tough Mudder event in East Midlands and by finishing in the top 5% managed to secure a place in 'Worlds Toughest Mudder'.  I decided to take on the challenge so on 17th & 18th November I will be going to New Jersey, USA to compete in this event.  This extreme event will put myself, and other hardcore Mudders, through a gruelling 24 hour challenge.  Competitors will have 24 hours to complete as many laps of an 8-10 mile Tough Mudder course as they can.  The course will feature a healthy dose of challenging obstacles from fire, ice, barbed wire and 10,000 volts of electricity.  It has been designed to test all around strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie.  It is going to be brutal!

This will no doubt be the hardest thing I have ever made myself do.  I have been training hard for this event and will be competing in the following events on the run up to it:

Saturday, 4th August - Total Warrior 10k Obstacle Race

Sunday, 5th August - Total Warrior 10m Obstacle Race

Sunday, 26th August - The Spartan Sprint Race

When I decided to take on the challenge, I thought I would like to help a cause that is close to myself, and my family.  On 8th February 2010 (aged 6) my nephew Blair was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and from that day on his life changed, and that of his family forever.  I hope you can donate something, no matter how small or large, to a very worthy charity.  It would be greatly appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
