Tibet Relief Fund helps Tibetans to build a brighter future through better education, healthcare and community development. We also run a thriving sponsorship programme for children, elderly Tibetans, monks and nuns.

Story

Hi!!

Doing it for the Karma Kids!

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Your sponsorship will allow the TRF to pay for FIVE Tibetan childrens residential education in India and give them a far brighter future.

Without going into too much detail, thousands of Tibetan's choose to leave Chinese occupied Tibet rather than stay in their homeland, as much of their traditional lifestyle is outlawed and repressed, including any support for their spiritual and political leader, the Dalai Lama

The journey is hard (over theHimalayas) and many die, some have been shot, and on arrival in India, many struggle to find home.  The work of the TFR supports Tibetans in India, and the "Learning is growing" scheme allows children to attend Tibetan schools to learn about their history, culture and language, in addition to the standard curriculum.

I have a challenge, the Tibetans have a huge challenge, and the TRF have a growing challenge, but I know that your support will have a direct effect on these displaced people, exiled from a country that seems to have been forgotten by the worlds leaders, and sadly by the "ethical" IOC (awarding Beijing the 2008 Olympics).  Fair play, sadly not.

Remember this is about kids education and self worth, and not politic campaigning, so I hope you can enjoy sponsoring me now!

Many thanks for your support.

Chris
