Story
As some people reading this will know nearly eight years ago my daughter, Lydia, was born 12 weeks prematurely. Thanks to the efforts of many professionals in the neonatal unit ten weeks, and many ups and downs, later she was able to come home in perfect health.
After starting to do a bit of running a couple of years or so ago - mainly because I was struggling to keep up with Lydia when teaching her to ride a bike - I decided it would be good to do an event in aid of a charity that helps the professionals, the parents and, of course, the babies themselves. That's why I'll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on April 3rd (yes, you can stop laughing now I'm running a half marathon!) in aid of Bliss.
The rate of babies born premature or sick in the UK is rising with 1 in every 7 babies needing neonatal care.Bliss is continuing the fight to improve outcomes and quality of life for these babies - but we need your help to do that.
