I will be raising money for Alzheimer's society because it is a cause close to my heart.

My lovely Mummy was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's at the age of 56.

Her friends and family have watched her deteriorate over the last 7 years and we have witnessed first hand the devastating impact of this horrible disease.

Once an independent business owner, she now lives in a care home and needs assistance with even simple tasks.

There are many misconceptions regarding the disease and I still continue to learn more about the side effects as time continues to pass by. This is even more so the case with early onset Alzheimer's.

It may take me 3 days to finish the race but I'm determined to do it if it can raise just a fraction of awareness for Alzheimer's Society.
