Story

Kate and I are taking part in the Mazda London Triathlon in aid of The Winnicott Foundation at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington. The Winnicott Baby Unit is the neo-natal intensive care unit at St Mary's which is one of the best in the country thanks to the support it gets from the foundation. It uses the money received through fund raising to buy state of the art equipment/clothing/bedding, pay for hotel accommodation for families and give bursaries to staff to make sure that their skills are the most up to date possible. Our two girls, Saskia and Imogen, were born at 28 weeks and weighed only 1kg/2.2lbs each...there are many who are smaller...and with the expertise and equipment that the foundation gives through the intensive care unit our girls were ready to come home 11 weeks later having doubled their weight. We cannot express enough what an AMAZING place it is and how it simply couldn't be as good as it is surviving solely on the NHS funding it gets.

Thank you so much for sponsoring us. It really will make a difference.
