Climbing for Kimmy

Theo Taylor-Smith is raising money for The Rock Trust

Climbing for Kimmy · 2 November 2020

Rock Trust aims to prevent youth homelessness and to support young people to build better futures. Our role is to advise, educate and support young people. We want to enable them to build the personal skills and resources required to make a positive and healthy transition to adulthood.

Story

As part of Fettes College, Kimmerghame houses' UN sustainable development goal is to fight poverty. As a house we will climb Mount Everest and descend it using our flight of stairs. This will include the ascent and decent of 21 flights of stairs for each of the 61 pupils. We will also be joined by our head of house Mr Boulter-Comer! This will be a total hight of over Mount Everest. The Rock Trust is Scotland's youth-specific homelessness charity. It works to ensure that every young person in Scotland has access to expert youth specific services to assist them to avoid, survive and move on from homelessness.
