Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
To show my appreciation to the Hospice I will be taking part in their forthcoming tandem skydive to help raise funds to keep the Hospice running for years to come.
Barnsley Hospice will take over the airfield at Hibaldstow, on the morning of Saturday 4th July 2015.
I will be attached to a professional parachute instructor as I jump out of the plane at 15,000 feet and freefall at around 120mph for 45-50 seconds. Not only will it be the most exhilarating experience of my lifetime, but I will be helping to fund Barnsley Hospice. This superb organisation can only achieve their goals with the assistance of generous donations to finance their fabulous work for the people of Barnsley. Without these donations, serving those in our area would not be possible.
Now your part is EASY. All you need to do is commit to sponsoring me. My part is a little tougher. My goal is to raise one thousand pounds for Barnsley Hospice. Please, dig deep and give generously. Just in case you need a little extra motivation to sponsor me, here are a few reasons:
- I'm a Senior Care who takes pride in delivering the highest standards of care to older people in a caring environment.
- I have a fear of heights.
- I've done the kinds of things I will never tell my parents, my children or my grand-daughter until we are all old enough to laugh about it. But skydiving is the most reckless thing I can imagine.
- It is the whole plummeting-to-the-earth-consciously-and-risking-my-life bit that is causing pause for thought.
- I discussed it with my family. They prefer me alive -- surely they would provide some reason or excuse that prevented it from happening. Not even close. In fact, they want me to do it -- Betrayal!
