Yes I know I said I wouldn't run another marathon, but that was 3 years ago and a girl can always change her mind - and I have! This time I may be a little bit older, I may be a little bit slower and New York may just be a little windier and hillier than London but I still know I'm going to love every minute of it.

However, I want to make the experience mean more than simply me achieving a personal goal, so I have decided to raise money for the NSPCC, and in particular for Childline. Cruelty to children seems to be in the news more and more these days, and as a parent of two young girls I find this both frightening and very sad. Childline volunteers are available 24 hours a day for children who desparately need someone to talk to, either on the phone or online. I think they deserve every penny - I'm very proud to be raising money for them and I will raise as much as I can.  Therefore I ask you please to be generous and give whatever you can.
