So the week of 17-23 of March an intrepid (read unprepared, all gear no idea) team of the people above, are going to climb the little mountain known as Everest in 5 - 7 days.

Ok maybe not the ice and snow, no oxygen version, but an indoor sport version, with a few pitches of outdoor trad climbing (where you place your own 'protection' against falling) mixed in, of an equivalent height.

I will be climbing all of the 7 days, with others joining me, so we will all be working towards our own personal targets - please support us towards making a better future for young people through activity and opportunity.

My personal target will be to climb an average at least the equivalent of the famous El Capitan each day over the 5 week days - at least 900m a day. I like climbing a lot but this will be really hard, especially with the time pressure of having to do this after work. It will be a hard challenge for the whole team - one of us has a ski race the same week!

We will keep this page updated with our progress up the mountain - and will need your support to keep us motivated!
