Last year I was running up mountains, cycling every weekend and kayaking in the sea.

Six months later I am almost confined to a wheel chair. I have help to dress me, wash me, eat, etc. This is Motor Neurone Disease it strips you of mobility but leaves your mind intact.

I am not prepared to sit down and die, I try to make the most of each day. We need to find a cure for this very cruel disease. There is currently no known cause and no known cure.
