St Nicholas Hospice Care is a local charity based in West Suffolk and Thetford, serving our community since 1984. As a charity, we believe everyone matters in life and death, and we strive for something better for those facing dying, death and grief.

Story

Hi!

On Saturday 14th September 2013 the 'Cloister Babes' will be taking part in the 5th Annual Girls Night Out (an 11.2 mile sponsored walk around Bury St Edmunds) to raise money for St Nicolas Hospice Care.

St Nicholas Hospice Care is a local charity, which looks after people with life limiting illnesses. This can include cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and the advanced stages of heart and lung disease. It cannot cure these illnesses, but its expertise lies in making life more comfortable for those suffering from them. They aim not just to look after the patient, but to support their family, friends and anyone else affected by the disease. The Hospice provides high quality end of life care but it also supports people earlier in their illness. This ensures that patients and their families have the best quality of life possible. As a registered charity they provide their services entirely free to all those who need our help and support, however in order to do this they need to raise £10,000 per day through the generosity of the local community.
