Nile Bike Ride · 17 February 2007 to 25 February 2007 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep & sponsor me online. Donating through this site is simple, fast & totally secure. It is also the most efficient way & the Alzheimer's Society will receive your money faster. If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

‘My Mum has Alzheimer’s and I know just how devastating this disease is.  Alzheimer’s & any form of dementia not only affects the person who is diagnosed but everyone in the family. ‘By cycling along the Nile for the Alzheimer’s Society we will be getting fit, experiencing close up a fascinating part of the world & most importantly raising money & awareness to help people living with dementia like Mum. Taking up this challenge of a lifetime is one positive way myself & Ray can make a difference to others.’  We will be part of a team of fundraisers who will cycle up to a gruelling 112km a day over 5 days. The sponsored bike ride along the Nile will take us past pyramids, across deserts & through the Valley of the Kings. We’ll see you up the Nile!’

If you would like to join Coleen & Ray or for more information please contact the Alzheimer’s Society on 020 7306 0606 or visit www.alzheimers.org.uk.
