A Tribute to Collins Chanika
Some people in life are very special - Collins was one of the best. He started working with RIPPLE Africa in January 2012 and has run our Disabilities and Rehabilitation project ever since although he had worked alongside the charity for a number of years before. He was passionate about his job and had great humanity. He was not only an inspiration to people who lived near Mwaya but also to many volunteers and visitors who were lucky enough to share time with him. He worked very hard with his patients and their families and derived so much satisfaction from their progress.
His sudden death on Wednesday 8th July is a tragic loss for his family, RIPPLE Africa, the local community and his patients.
We are raising money for his family as there are three children at primary school and one child at secondary school, but especially his eldest son who has just started a three-year degree course in electrical engineering at the Polytechnic in Blantyre.
Please give generously. Thank you.
