The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust supports the Neonatal Unit at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham. The charity fundraises in order to buy the highly specialised and sophisticated equipment needed to care for sick and premature babies and we look after approximately 1000 babies a year.

Story

Our baby, Connor arrived 15 weeks early  on 17/12/12 with no warning and taking us all by surprise with no reason why and still no answer to date. He arrived by emergency C section at Darenth Hospital, then with much more to our horror we was told they are taking Connor away to another hospital, Oliver Fisher Special Baby Care Trust in Medway with only seeing him for 2 mins through a glass bowl.

After approximately 18 hours, we got transferred to Medway Hospital  where we could see Connor, as we walked into the Oliver Fisher ward for the first time it can only be described as the most un-natural and sereal feeling with extreme fear and worry. Connor battled for his life for 11 days before he wore himself out and could not go on anymore and and we had to make the decision to turn off his support machines. Sadly Connor died 28/12/12.

Oliver Fisher is so important to us for what they done for Connor and us as a family. We fundraise to keep Connors memory alive and to give back to Oliver Fisher Trust  as much as we can. We are asking for all your help in donating, raising money and awareness for the trust.

The money you be giving is so important and  will help towards new machines, equipment , supporting the parents and families and much much more,  with all of this it will help to save these babies.

A massive thank you for taking time to read about our baby boy.

We are really grateful for all your donations, time, effort and money.

With much love to all

Lee and Stacey
