Story

Conquer the Desert - Running across the Sahara in aid of ABF The Soldiers' Charity

Team members:  David Harris & Jonathan Moore

On 3rd April 2015, we will be setting off on an incredible journey that will push us to the limits of our mental and physical stamina.  Rated by Discovery Channel as "The toughest footrace on Earth", the 30th Marathon des Sables awaits us.

We will be completing in excess of 250km over 6 days across dunes, jebels, and dry river-beds including the dreaded long stage of over 80km in one session.  All of this exposed to extreme heat, carrying food and equipment to last us a week.

Now that we have established the fact that each of us must have a screw loose somewhere, the next question to answer is why we are undertaking such a challenge?  In addition to the requirement of screw-tightening, we are seeking to raise money to benefit the work of ABF The Soldiers' Charity.  This organisation does a fantastic job of looking after serving and retired soldiers as well as their families.

We welcome your support and hope that you will follow us as we prepare for the adventure and achieve our goals.
