Stroke for Stroke 24hour challenge · 29 September 2008
Thanks for visiting the Cool Rowings Team fundraising page!
Together we are raising funds and awareness for the Stroke Association by rowing on an indoor rowing machine for a monster 24 hours. Our second objective is to row the entire distance of the River Thames in this time - 344km. From 4pm, 30th October to 4pm, 31st October, the seven of us will take turns in shifts to complete the challenge, which will be taking place at Siemens HQ in Frimley, Surrey. The challenge will be a gruelling one, with each team member completing over 49km each! Please support our challenge in whichever way possible, with donations as small or as big as you like.
"Stroke is the leading cause of severe disability and the third biggest killer in the UK. Every five minutes someone in the UK has a stroke. Stroke can take away your speech and communication skills and can leave you unable to use your arms and legs. It can take away your sight and your hearing, your memory and your personality. Stroke shatters families and destroys lives."
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Stroke Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
