UPDATE:-

Mia, Poppy & I are pleased to say we completed the Race for Life after running, jogging & walking the 5k at the Stanmer Park course! We would have jogged/ran the whole distance but for my blistered feet from a 100km I did 2 weeks previous for charity!

The children enjoyed it very much & really understand what race for Life stands for & by doing the race for life they know we are raising awareness & much needed pounds!! Thank you to all of you who have supported us we truly appreciate your support! Thank you Nikki, Mia & Poppy!! Until next year!! xxxxx

Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to read our loving charity page.  My name is Nikki Mummy to Mia age 9 & Poppy age 6 who wish to help make a difference by raising money & awareness by running/Jogging/walking 5k at Stanmer Park Brighton at 11am on July 6th 2014.

This is my 7th year running Race for Life, Mia's 3rd & Poppy's 2nd time!

We normally join the cancer research 5k event in memory of my dad Michael who lost his battle aged 50, my dear best friend Jenny Morton in her mid 20's & all people who have been affected by this dreadful disease but not forgetting all the survivors who fought cancer and beat it!!

However on this very sad occassion We wish to dedicate our race for life 2014 in memory of Ms Liz Waugh a dearly loved & respected teacher for over 10 years at my children's primary school "St Wilfrids Catholic Primary school Burgess Hill West Sussex" who sadly lost her battle to cancer suddenly on the 23rd December 2013.  Although Liz had been fighting cancer couragously for a number of years it was hoped Liz would return to school to teach this January as she was responding well to treatment.

Her warm, cheerful persona will be missed by many in school & outside too! 

Your smile will live on in the hearts of many Rest in peace Ms Waugh xxxx
