Story
As I write this, I'm lay on my couch having just finished an Asda pizza and rocky road cheesecake. Follow me on my training journey as I rise from my couch and tackle the London Marathon 2022 for Meningitis Research Foundation.
So, here's a little bit about why I've decided to do it and the difference your donation will make.
Me and my brother Lee are running the London marathon 2022 for Meningitis Research Foundation as it’s a charity that is close to our families hearts.
Two of my cousins were diagnosed with Meningitis when they were younger and we experienced first hand the devastating impact that this disease had on the family. Fortunately, both are still with us today and I’m looking to raise money to help with the research needed to prevent other families from going through the same thing.
Meningitis Research Foundation aim to eradicate meningitis and septicaemia globally by 2030. Meningitis and septicemia are diseases that pose an imminent threat to people all over the world, affecting 5 million people annually. Meningitis causes more deaths of children under the age of 5 than malaria, measles, tetanus and AIDS combined, yet is often not known by the general public.
Any donations towards this wonderful charity would be greatly appreciated.
