COPS is a UK charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers and police staff who have lost their lives on duty to rebuild their lives. We aim to ensure that surviving family members have the help they need to cope with such tragedy and they remain part of the police family.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was asked to return to Countdown for a one-off special back in the summer of 2012, the theme being Police Officer vs Prison Officer. Some 2 months prior to the filming of the special, PC's Fiona Bone and Nicola  Hughes were tragically killed whilst on duty in the borough of Tameside, Greater Manchester. Both girls were colleagues of mine as I am also a police officer within the same borough. Countdown kindly allowed me to dedicate my appearance on the show to their memory in the hope of raising money for the Care Of Police Survivors charity (C.O.P.S).

Unfortunately, the show has been on reserve for over 2½ years and never been shown. Thankfully, the show is finally being transmitted this coming Friday 10th APRIL, Channel 4 but at 6 o clock in the morning.

I'm hoping there are enough early risers/insomniacs and series link viewers to see the show and make a small donation, as this is a worthy charity that cares for the families and loved ones of police officers that are killed on duty to help rebuild their lives and every little contribution makes a massive difference. Thank you.
