On Sunday April 17th I'll be donning my trainers to run the London Marathon in aid of CancerCare Dorset, a charity which has recently joined forces with the Joseph Weld & Trimar Hospice. Together, they offer a combined service of relief to anyone suffering from cancer & similar life-threatening diseases. The charity also provides support for relatives or dependants of cancer sufferers as well as the promotion of research into the relief of symptoms caused by cancer to those in the Dorset area.
Did you know?
- at least 1 in 3 of us will be diagnosed with cancer in our lives.
The good news is that more people than ever are living with cancer and enjoying long and fulfilling lives, aided by charities such as CancerCare Dorset who, in turn, depend on fundraising events to continue their work.
So to crux of this message, which is a humble appeal for any donation you might like to give to support Cancer Care Dorset.
If you would like to support my marathon run, cheques should be made out to "J.W.T.H. and C.C.D." and sent to me at the following address:
DDA
192-198 Vauxhall Bridge Road
London SW1V 1DX
Alternatively, an online donation can be made here, which allows you to donate as little or as much as you like via 2 options: 1) Sponsor me now OR 2) Pay on completion - I leave this to your discretion...!
Any donation to CCD would be appreciated enormously, not only by the charity but also by me.
Many thanks and much love,
Camilla
