Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I work for Caldecott Fostering, and I am running the Brighton
Marathon to try and raise some funds for a new resource for the both our Foster Carers and our Young People to use.

I am hoping to raise funds to build a  sensory library, which will give people the opportunity to borrow and use sensory resources and find out what works for them, at no cost.

Caldecott Fostering is the fostering arm of the Caldecott Foundation. It is a therapeutic fostering agency and I have seen first-hand the impact that the amazing work they do has on the lives of the Foster Carers
and the vulnerable young people in their care. In fact, they have been rated as OUTSTANDING by Ofsted after their most recent inspection in 2019.

Having a sensory library fits well into Caldecott’s model of therapeutic care. Also, as a father of two disabled children, both of whom have sensory processing disorder, this really is a cause close to my heart. I was lucky enough to have access to a sensory library and I know only too well what an amazing resource it can be.

So, once again, this 39 and a half year old with dodgy knees is going dust of his running gear, lace up his trainers and run 26.2 miles to help some of those most vulnerable in society.
