Cranswick Milton Keynes are very proud to have joined up in partnership with the Winter Night Shelter.
In 2020 Cranswick MK set a pledge to raise the living standards in our local community, and to be the catalyst to inspire other food and drink businesses to do the same.
“I am delighted to confirm the new partnership between Cranswick Convenience Foods in Milton Keynes and the Winter Night Shelter. I was not aware of the scale of homelessness in Milton Keynes and it is humbling when you hear about the huge impact that charities such as the Winter Night Shelter have on so many lives every year. The colleagues within our onsite Work Committee unanimously supported us choosing Winter Night Shelter as our charity of the year, and we would like to establish a long term partnership with them where we can not only raise funds and donate meat products to their clients, but also offer employment opportunities and volunteer time to help to create long term change and increase the living standards in our local community.” Sam Pearl, Site Director, Cranswick Convenience Foods.
We will be working with Winter Night Shelter in the following ways:
• Providing employment opportunities to their homeless guests who are ready for work.
• Hosting fundraising events to be a catalyst to accelerate the charity's ability to deliver its strategy.
• Promoting volunteering opportunities to our employees and community.
• Facilitating collections of food, clothing, and household items.
• Offering translation assistance for documents that any of our guests struggle with.
• Donating cooked meats for our café and Community Club.
