    Story

North Devon Wheeler members Hannah Rainger, 13, and her grandmother Peggy Crome, 73, are planning to cycle from John O' Groats to Lands End to raise money to build a cycle grass track for young people. The vision is to deliver the benefits of national standard cycling and coaching facilities to young cyclists. An exciting first step in 2016 is to raise funding for grass track training. The aim is to give local young riders the opportunity to be able to compete on the same level as those living around Manchester, London and Newport where there are dedicated velodromes. Distance and access to such facilities leaves our young people at huge disadvantage. This prompts the Wheelers' motivation and drive to do something positive and find a novel solution.
