Story
Vision
we want to see a future in which the huge benefits of trees and woodlands are understood and celebrated by everyone in society.
Mission
We want to restore ancient woodland and to facilitate the creation of more wild natural and diverce lanscapes.
in the process we want to Empower and inspire people from every aspect of society to connect with nature through the simple act of planting trees.
Aims
to reforest key sites in the north east of england.
to work closely with Schools, Community groups, and non profit organizations to give everyone a chance to get their hands dirty and connect with nature practically and spiritually.
Humble Beginings
Last season (November 2016-2017) we ran 8 tree planting sessions over 6 different sites planting over 1800 native trees with community volunteers and school groups. We have also gathered and planted over 1000 acorns and have set up a small tree nursery consisting of 8000 trees from locally collected seeds.
Growing up strong
This Winter as well as re visiting our existing sites we have several new sites ear marked. We plan to plant 8,000 native trees
We have calculated that it costs approximately £5 to plant a tree this includes the cost of the tree, stake and guard as well as coordinating our volunteer groups to plant them.
Although we have some funding and a stock of tree in our nursery we are still a way off having the funds to achieve this.
Please sponsor a tree for only £5
