Hello cat lovers! Stuck in Mozambique, we are three little kitty's hoping to go home with our humans, and here is our story....(Human POV) September last year, we were informed that two kittens were abandoned in a bush outside our scuba center. CASHEW the loudest made sure she was found first, with PEANUT close by. Then as we hunted for their mommy we heard the faintest meow. Tiny, girly, COCONUT alone, scared and blind. Our hearts melted, instantly we became parents. Coconut needed special attention to her eye, and all three were covered in fleas! (We are now the deflea masters!). As they all began to find their tails and their roars we noticed something strange with Coconut...her neck was suddenly bent, her temperature high, and no strength to eat or drink. Heartbroken, we didn't think she'd survive the night. But we wouldn't lose a moment of her. She lived on our chests for a few days, being fed and hydrated by syringe we were able to get her strength back! Still, with her bent neck, nothing stopped her playing with her siblings (other than having to stand on her back legs to have a look around the room)! Overtime she was back to normal and all became the best babies we could ask for. Now venturing into their teens, they demand only more love and food! Peanut the big softy, Cashew is rough and tumble and Coconut is the sweetest girl.We love them very much! Unfortunately as dive instructors, due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 there are no tourists, so no work. We are now stuck in Mozambique, desperate to get home but leaving the cats here in this current crisis is not an option (especially if things become unsafe). It will cost around £4,000 for the vets, pet passports and transportation fees, more if we have to leave before their innoculations are complete and we have to put them in to be quarantined.
