Story
On the 27th of June this year myself Christine Barker Lady Captain of Cookridge Hall golf club my vice captain Mary Heslop with George Pennells and Chris Benton our young professionals aim to play 72 holes of golf in one day over the 4 shires of Yorkshire. We start at 4.45am at Barnsley GC (south) then move onto The KP club (east) at Kilnwick Percy progressing to the Harrogate GC (north) and finally finishing our last game at Cookridge Hall GC (west)which is our home club. I am not sure this has ever been tried before but we hope to give it our all and raise funds for our 2 captain’s charities for 2018 OPAL where I volunteer and BIRT who helped rehabilitate one of our club members.

6 years agoFinally finished this amazing day. Thanks to all our supporters and caddies and everyone who turned up to cheer us home. We averaged 3 hours per golf course and finished every hole on each course. The traffic was in our favour and although we started in fog and you could not see more than100 yards we finished with light to spare. We’ll done Simon for getting the courses clear for us to play and Tom all the golfers who allowed us to play through. We have exceeded our target with money taken on the day. Thanks again to everyone.
