To celebrate turning forty, I have decided to raise money for charities very close to my heart. I have got a fabulous husband and amazing friends who are supporting and joining me on this journey as we run 4x10km road races and 4 wolf runs by the time I turn 40 in November.

Both of our families, as with many people, have been devastated by cancer so we wanted to donate to an appeal which will support people dealing with this disease. We chose a local charity, Stratford Hospital Appeal, who are raising money to pay for world class facilities and enhancements for new Cancer and Ophthalmology services.

We are also supporting JDRF, a charity again with close family connection which is working towards creating a world without type 1 diabetes.

This year marks a change in my own health, lifestyle and life choices and felt it would be good to do something to also help others have that opportunity.
