Story
The Awareness of Mental Illness in Gaming Organisation, or AMIGO, is a new non-profit charity created by those in need.
Billions of people; children and adults alike, play video games. An estimated 1.2 billion people worldwide play video games on a PC, with an extra 800 million on consoles. Not all will be dedicated gamers, but a large proportion of these players game regularly.
AMIGO's aim, our mission statement, is to eradicate the stigma of online gaming, and push the awareness of mental illnesses in the gaming population. We will provide a safe space, a healthy community, for those suffering, and in addition we will recruit certified therapists to help those who truly need it.
In addition, AMIGO will actively participate in charitable fundraising for other likeminded charities, because we understand our resources may not reach everyone.
Awareness will be our true aspiration, because acknowledgment of a problem is the first step to solving it. Hopefully, with your help, we can start.

I've been gaming, and been part of the gaming community for 5 years. In that time I've met, connected and played with people who found escape from their lives, suffering in anyway, in games. I truly believe that we have a serious opportunity to create a community to help people.
