Story
Freddie, Rosie and a small group of their friends and work colleagues are undertaking a trip to support a non-profit organisation working in Greece called The Timber Project. The Timber Project was initiated by several of Freddie's friends who were so moved by the plight of refugees fleeing to Europe that they left the UK to take action themselves, organising and building shelters for those in desperate need in Greece and the Balkan countries. For further information on The Timber Project see www.thetimberproject.co.uk
Freddie and the team , as part of CAPCO (www.wearecapco.com), the company they work for, have a lot of experience in designing and building playgrounds & playspaces for children. CAPCO have kindly offered to provide as much as they can in terms of funding for travel and equipment. They are planning to visit a number of camps, using their skill to build play areas - creating space for children to be children, irrespective of their current circumstances- but also to give advice and help on constructing shelters, toilet blocks and other vital necessities within these camps.
The team will be supporting themselves whilst out there and all funds raised will go directly towards building materials within the camps and supporting The Timber Project moving forwards.
Please support if you can, however much will be so gratefully received.
The progress of this project can be followed online via The Timber Project's website, Facebook and Instagram

What a great idea, it's so easy to feel overwhelmed by the refugee crisis but actually do nothing constructive about it.
