Story
Thanks for visiting my page.
We've raised 75% so far! Huge thanks to all those who have donated.
My name is Alfie Richards and I’m a year 12 student at Harrogate Grammar School studying A-Level music, drama and RS. Last year I played Marius in the school production of Les Miserables performed at the Harrogate Theatre. Earlier this year I took a six hour audition in Leeds to join the National Youth Music Theatre whose past alumni have included; Idris Elba, Jude Law, Matt Lucas and Eddie Redmayne. The audition was in three parts; acting, singing and movement. After a tense wait, I was invited for a recall audition in London - this was a little shorter (only two and a half hours). Understandably the level of talent was very high and I had another tense wait before learning that I had been successful in my efforts and was offered a part in the NYMT production of Sunday in the Park with George, to be performed at the Other Palace Theatre in London. Sunday in the Park With George is a truly wonderful Stephen Sondheim musical currently being revived on Broadway starring Jake Gyllenhaal. The NYMT is a prestigious charity and even though they cover more than half of the costs, I am expected to raise funds towards the cost of transport, accommodation and residential rehearsals. Being a part of this production would mean an incredible amount to me, and any donation would be appreciated beyond belief.
Thank you.
Alfie.
