Story
Joseph Clarke School, is a school with a great reputation for their expertise in visual impairment that attracts pupils from London and surrounding counties with visual impairment and/or complex needs.
One special girl who attends this school is Amy. She has visual impairment caused by a rare condition that she was born with. She's never been able to see so the only way she would be able to read or write is by learning braille. This is the case for thousands of adults and children across the nation. We take for granted our senses and I couldn't imagine not having any vision, take a minute and think about what you couldn't do now if you lost your sight....
Braille positively changes lives, opening doors, gives hope and inspires thousands of people to learn and enjoy reading. Whether new to learning braille, supporting someone who reads braille, everyone deserves to have one to hand. Sight loss shouldn't be a barrier to enjoying reading and learning , creative writing, being organised and labelling or even having time out playing a card or board game with friends and family! Please help with as little or as much as you can. An average machine costs £5,000 so please dig deep, find it in your heart to give what ever you can. Thank you.
