    Story

Our son Ashton was born 1/1/14 and all seemed fine. We noticed he wasn't developing at the rate he should have been and was sent for an MRI scan. Ashton was diagnosed with a condition called Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. The Corpus Callosum is the 'bridge' of your brain that connects the 2 Hemisphere's of your brain and contains millions of tiny hairs which transmit signals. It's the brains way of communicating between both sides. Agenesis means 'lack of'. Ashton only has a small number of hairs inside his Corpus Callosum meaning his brain isn't communicating between it's hemisphere's as it should be. This means his Core Motor skills are severly delayed.

Before Ashton turned 2 we decided to start getting Ashton Private Physiotherapy to aid his development. This was a good decision as in the last year his muscles have grown much stronger and he has learned to crawl. We have done some fundraising events to help keep his Private Physiotherapy going.

We are now at a stage where we need to get a private Speech Therapist in as well as the Private Physio as Ashton still isn't talking. We have set up this page in order to help raise funds to keep Ashton's private therapy going in order to continue to give Ashton the best start in life.

If we raise enough we are also looking into enrolling Ashton in a programme in Devon with "snowdrop"

A massive thank you to Chrissy Betteridge who is doing Rough Runner in May to raise money for our son. Truly blessed

Thank you for taking the time and showing interest in our son Ashton

Well ware up and running with Ashton's Snowdrop programme. Lots of small activities that with repetition will stimulate his brain and hopefully over the next few weeks and months will bring him on in all the areas he is struggling with. Thanks again for everyone's generosity. Will keep you posted on developments
