    Story

We are a support group run by Parents/Carers of Autistic people for Parents/Carers of Autistic people and children. We also run a Closed Support Group by the same name on Facebook where parents can talk confidentially with other parents.
We offer a caring environment with good listening and communication skills. We help with correspondence, help to write, type and print letters if parents who do not have the equipment to do so.

We offer advice with the education system, signposting and help our parents be in the right place to give their child a voice. Help with advice on form filling, like PIP/ESA/family Fund. We are friendly and care very much for all our families both on our Facebook page and those who come to our group which is run every Wednesday during term time.

We have been running now for 30 years and our founder members helped start up Autism West Midlands in Birmingham. We make a little money go a long way. With your kindness and support we can continue to do so.

We need your help to raise funds to carry on supporting our parents in the Sutton Coldfield Area of Birmingham. The money I am hoping to raise will only cover the costs of hiring a room or hall once a week and supply beverages, so if the target is met we can do this for about a year.

However if we can raise even more money, then that will pay for venues for the guest speakers our parents would like to see, trips for our children, run parent courses run by professionals in managing behavior, toileting issues, sleeping, self care and looking for depression/self harming in our child. All of which does not come cheaply and if we do not start raising funds soon we will have to close the group.

You can help us do this, with your help you will be helping so many families who feel isolated, unsupported and judged. Please help us change the way people see Autism, an invisible condition and encourage support and Awareness.
