Weʼve raised £510 to Bethesda Nursing Home and Hospice, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis.

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

Bethesda Nursing Home and Hospice is situated in the town of Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. Bethesda is rightly regarded as being in the heart of the community, with the community at its heart. Like all Hospice's in Scotland resources at Bethesda are stretched and being on an island there are limited possibilities to raise additional income. From a personal viewpoint the Isle of Lewis has given me much so it's only right to put back into the community. With this in mind my own contribution is to jump from a perfectly serviceable aircraft strapped to a stranger to raise funds for Bethesda. * Update* The jump was scheduled for the 10th December 2023 at Fife Airfield but is now rescheduled because of weather. But! this means we have more time to meet the target of £500. Please, help make a difference at Bethesda. Many thanks!

Job done! Thank you to Mark my Tandem jump instructor at Sky Dive St Andrews. My mind conveniently forgot that there was a 30 second free fall phase travelling at 127mph (terminal velocity I'm led to believe) There are no words to describe leaving an aircraft at 10,000 feet into fresh air! A big, massive, huge thank you to every one who has donated. Without you we couldn't have met our £500 target and to such a great charity. Next step, handover what we've raised. Thank you sooo much.

Hi everyone, the weather beat us today (10th December) so Im going to reschedule. But exciting day, we went up on the aircraft to try for a jump but it quickly became clear it wasn't to be. (Skydive St Andrews is the company I'm going through, highly recommended.) But, we have more time to meet our target of £500. Spread the word, for Bethesda!
