Brookland Raceways built in 1999 was once a magnificent purpose built RC track which has entertained 1000's of people of all ages over the years. Whilst entertaining local people, the track also brought major RC events to the UK. Radio Control Car Racing is huge in the UK and around the world but to bring larger numbers of competitors to the track help is required.

When the track was originally built it was purely just the track with a rostrum, this has grown overtime with undercover pits being added, disabled access, race control, lighting, timing screens; the list goes on. However, over time the track and amenities has deteriorated and whilst still being used by large numbers of people we need some help to raise funds for some specific work. Currently large scale radio control cars are used on the track at fun, club and national level. We want to bring other scales back into the sport which will then help maintain the track, and the interest is certainly there. Our goal is to reach out to the local community and areas to bring youngsters into the sport - Lewis Hamilton started his career in RC, why couldn’t others! British Champions have arisen from this club, help make that happen again and get more people racing – so much better than sitting in front of an Xbox!

What the funds will cover;
The main items are: New track surface (racing grade tarmac), fencing for the perimeter, toilet and shower block, pit upgrades, electric power, race control & rostrum revamp.....

The track accommodates all ages and genders, RC racing is as close many people will ever get to the real thing and RC can be the starting point for youngsters to start racing real cars - it worked for Lewis Hamilton!
