Story
I'm Revd Cathy Mark and as part of a wider team from a group of West Midlands’ churches, I will be going on a mission trip to South Africa in May/June 2017.
The purpose of the visit:
-To build relationships between Lichfield Diocese link Diocese of Matlosane, in South Africa for mutual support, encouragement and learning
-To develop All Saint’s Parish Church’s links with the Matlosane Diocese Youth Coordinator; to learn from and encourage both parties to develop youth work.
-To join a team from Lichfield Diocese to visit the charity Hands at Work.
The benefits of the visit:
-To encourage and come alongside those working in communities affected by HIV/AIDS.
-To co-lead a team of lay people visiting Hands at Work in South Africa for the first time.
-To bring back and share stories of faith and hope of what God is doing in South Africa.
What can you do to support Revd Cathy Mark’s mission trip?:
GIVE: I need to raise £2000 for this mission trip. Can you help with a donation?
PRAY: Please pray for God’s protection and provision.

7 years agoI can't believe that in about four weeks time I'll be jetting off to South Africa! Oh my, where has the time gone. The fund-raising efforts have gone fantastically well - thank you!!! Making progress with visas and vaccinations. I keep looking at my 'things to pack' list and I do hope that I don't forget anything. Also, I need to make a start on learning a few phrases in one of the South African languages... :)) Thank you for your support!

7 years agoIn the coming weeks, I'm looking forward to All Saint's Church fellowship members to take me up on the 'Dial-a-Curate' offer to help with grocery shop, ironing, car clean and suchlike... for a donation :) I'm so humbled by the incredibly generous online and offline donations that have come in so far...
