CMWPUAP is a North East Community Interest Company providing an individualised approach to mental health and therapeutic services for adults, children, young people and their families.
We are very aware of the challenges many people have faced over the past few years and the profound impact world events have had on so many children, young people and adults' mental health. Our aim is to help people to enjoy improved health and emotional wellbeing, lead happier and more fulfilling lives and to most of all -reach their potential. Changing Minds with pick up a penny want to provide many more people with therapies, support and information that they need to make a full and healthy recovery, mind, body and brain. To do this we need funding, we are a non-profit making Community Interest Company where all the money we make goes back into our organisation to help those that need it.
Changing Minds with Pick Up a Penny was established in Forest Hall, North Tyneside as a non-profit making Community Interest Company to support long term Mental Health recovery. We work with people of all ages and backgrounds and have a special interest in children and young people’s mental health. Psychotherapist Sara Young leads a team who are highly skilled in pioneering therapies to support people’s mental health and health such as EEG led Neurofeedback, Biofeedback, Psychotherapy and Buteyko training. We use a person-centred holistic approach, looking at the latest research and comprehensive training to inform our work.
Cold water swimming should be done under the guidance of your health professional-it is not suitable for everyone and is done at your own risk. Always swim safely with another person, with the correct equipment and following local weather reports/tide information. See RNLIs safety information.

4 months agoDay 81/152. Some mornings there’s no picturesque sunrise and it’s just very very cold! We all felt it this morning, had to dig deep and breathe through the initial pain of the icy cold water!
