We are raising money to support The Chloe Project. Chloe Rose Bygate tragically died in April 2014. Chloe had not fully set out on her path for a career in life, but what was clear was her new found love of growing and caring for plants.
She volunteered at Picton Castle tending the gardens, and for years had been tending a horse chestnut tree in a pot, planted from seed that she wanted to give a permanent home one day.
Chloe enjoyed the hope in planting seeds, the calm in the weeding and the excitement of reaping the produce when ripe. The project represents the joy and comfort that gardening and growing gave to Chloe and others. It will provide support to all in need of somewhere to go to enjoy peace and tranquillity , meeting new people , planting seeds nurturing them into fresh healthy veg and to enjoy the benefits of working outside in the fresh air that garden therapy offers.
