Story
THE CLACTON QUEEN
Time for a new firebox and boiler barrel.
The Clacton Queen Preservation Society was formed in October 1995 to restore a 10 ton Garrett steam roller. The restoration of the roller was completed around 1998 and she has visited Local Schools, Fetes, and Carnivals in the local area being part of the Clacton Heritage.
The Clacton Queen is in need of some drastic restoration work and we are trying to raise funds to replace the boiler, firebox and if we have enough left over we need to recondition the crankshaft and all associated bearings.
Please help us to restore the Old Lady so we can teach others the marvellous engineering heritage this country invented.
