Hello, my name, is Connie, I am 18 years old. I have just finished 4 years of dance training at BOA with the highest possible grade D*D*D* In the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts.

I have always been very passionate about dance and it has become a huge part in my life. I have taken part in many classes at a variety of different dance schools throughout my childhood and teen years where I have studied, Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Commercial, Street Dance, alongside Physical Theatre in BOA. I have had many opportunities with dance, such as, performing in Sonya Sabri’s curtain raiser, Move It 2017, U.Dance 2016 at the Lowery Theatre in Manchester and many more. Alongside this Gymnastics has been a massive support to my dance training, where I was able to perform and compete in different countries such as Malta, Sweden and Portugal. I was also given the amazing opportunity to compete in the British Championships and receive a gold medal in the team event.

I have been lucky enough to be offered a place on the Pre-Professional foundation course in commercial dance at LIPA (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts). This course only accepts 22 places and only 4% get onto the course so after a strenuous audition process I have been successful and I couldn't be happier. Sir Paul McCartney founded LIPA and is one of the top vocationals in the UK. This course is completely self- funded so I can’t get any help from student finance. Therefore, I will need to raise £9,000 for the cost of the tuition and another £6,000-£6,500 for accommodation and living costs.

For a working-class family, this is massive amounts to ask from them so I am asking for all the help I can get, as this really is a dream of mine. So, I would be so grateful if you could help me out and contribute even if it is as little as £1.00, every little helps. I can assure you that when I am there I will work my absolute hardest as this means everything to me.
